Monthly Archives: October 2008
I can’t write this week. I don’t really know what it is, but I’m having a hard time getting words on paper. (or screen…)
I’ve written maybe five pages in the last week? Which isn’t very much for me, considering I’ve been cranking out a consistent 20-50 a week for the last month. I suppose it was bound to happen sooner or later, and honestly, I have been a bit preoccupied (okay, obsessive) with following the political diatribes of the election season.
I have a lot of thoughts that I want to write about, but a lot of them are political, some are downright ranty, and a few are really quite pissed off. So I refrain–at least from publishing them to the internet. Maybe I’ll pick it up in November–it IS, after all, National Novel Writing Month. I suppose I could aim to finish this novel by then. 50,000 words left. It’s not the mission statement of the month, but I rather think that finishing a novel is as good as plowing through the whole thing in thirty days.
There; I did it. A goal. I will finish Elemental by November 30 at midnight.
