READ THIS NOTE: I encourage real emails and correspondence. If you like what you see or want to ask permission to use my words on your website (which, by the way, you absolutely MUST do if you want to use any words from this site — I’ll probably say yes, but if I find my words and you didn’t ask, be aware that you’ve broken copyright law), shoot me a couple lines and say howdy. If you’re asking for permission to use my work in any way, include the date and title of the post in question and the text you’d like to use as well as the context in which it will be used. EmmieMears.com is NOT public domain. You must ask my permission to use my words. Period.

  1. Hey, I have nominated you for the ‘Versatile Blogger Award’ as part of my ‘recently found bloggers’ group. You can see here – http://thechronosphere.wordpress.com/2011/12/16/versatile-blogger-award/

  2. And I have nominated you for the Kreativ Blogger award! You can find the details at http://jmmcdowell.wordpress.com/2012/01/10/the-kreativ-blogger-award/

    Have a good day!

  3. I passed on your Kreativ & Inspiring blog awards today + gave you a shout out – thanks again!!!

  4. Emmie, I would like permission to use your words describing how you feel upon entering a bookstore. I’m a volunteer for our local historical society in a small county in Maryland. We currently have an antique shop (mostly consignments) plus an annex run totally by volunteers with profits going to the society. I’m presently setting up a bookstore from consigned and donated books down the street from our other two shops.

Your words describe how I feel about bookstores and I would like your permission to use those words (attributed to you, of course) in advertising the opening of this store.

I hope you have a moment to contact me as soon as possible so that I will know if it’s okay with you that I proceed. Many thanks either way for your perfect description.

  5. Just want to say how very much I appreciate reading your blog – always wonderful to have access to such outstanding analysis and excellent writing. Posting link for your blog at my Buffytube Site – hope that’s ok.

    • Thank you so much for your comment and for the link! It means a lot to me to hear that my two cents (well, more like 40 cents or so) on the Buffyverse resonate with people. Thank you for stopping by!

  6. Good morning, Just trying to figure out where the “a scot is a scot…” quote comes from…did you write it?

  7. Know you already have a Beautiful Blogger award so no need to respond, just wanted you to know I gave you a shout out and hope you like the pic that inspired my choice!

  8. A belated hello! I found you through Anna on FB and Twitter. Just wanted to say I like your blog and look forward to reading more. Best regards, Leslie

  9. BTW, will follow you on Twitter. If you are interested, I am @LizziePepys. On Twitter I straddle time between 1661 and 2012. 🙂

Got something to say? Keep it thoughtful, keep it civil, and have fun.
